SWoBs visits local elementary schools and provides pastels and paints for children to play with.  The children are always excited for the opportunity to be creative and play with a variety of colors and mediums.

The kids are so talented, despite usually not having any art program in school.  Many lack a teacher and materials, so they are eager to get their hands painty.

We then turned education into action, and ran through town saving the turtles from agua malas (jellyfish), in the form of picking up plastic trash.

Children are like sponges; they soak up whatever is around.  For this reason they are the ones we need to teach why and how to protect the Environment.  The book “All the Way to the Ocean” by Joel Harper is a story about trash ending up in the Ocean, and is a great way to start sharing with them how trash harms marine life, and eventually us.
